What is it?
The Oral Cancer Foundation is an IRS registered nonprofit 501(c) 3 and public service charity designed for advancy and service and to promte change in the community.
One of the foundation's primary missions is to raise awareness about the importance of annual oral cancer screenings. This need has become increasingly urgent due to the rising incidence of oral cancer. This year alone, approximately 58,500 people in the U.S. will be newly diagnosed. When detected early, oral cancer has a survival rate of 80–90%. However, because most cases are found at late stages, the disease carries a high mortality rate of 43%.
Through our run, we aim to raise funds to support further research into improving medical responses to oral cancer. Additionally, your donations will help advance the OCF's mission of spreading awareness and promoting early detection within the community.
